On subsequent initial attack missions in the Pasayten Wilderness we were unable to reach our dispatch center (CWICC) on the local repeaters. We communicated with the District DO over these repeaters, or used the Flight Following repeater to call in incidents with dispatch. The personnel on the ground were required to relay through a Lookout with cell service or utilize satellite phones for communication with dispatch. Specifically the Slate and Granite repeaters, while functioning to communicate with the DO, were not being received by CWICC. |
