Describe in detail what happened including the concern or potential issue, the environment (weather, terrain, fire behavior, etc), and the resulting health issue.
Grand Junction Interagency Dispatch has an ongoing phone/network issue that is affecting the ability to make outgoing calls. This is impacting the center's ability to communicate with any out-of-area resources that are on or traveling to local incidents, other local and GACC dispatch centers, and anyone else who has an area code that is not local. This is creating delays for aircraft, initial attack, and extended attack response, because dispatchers are having to utilize cell phones to make outgoing calls. Incoming calls are still coming into the phones, which complicates phone response, as dispatchers are splitting their communications between two different phone systems.

There have been 3 separate tickets filed with Bison Support to notify this issue. The ticket numbers for those tickets are:

At one point, someone with the helpdesk spoke to a staff member in Grand Junction, and tried to connect them with network provider Lumen. Staff tried to communicate with Lumen, but the results were Lumen responding and saying they do not have Grand Junction Dispatch's number associated with any long distance service accounts.
