Narrative
Describe in detail what happened including the concern or potential issue, the environment (weather, terrain, fire behavior, etc), and the resulting health issue.
While serving as a HECM on the Forsyth fire my helitack crew and aircraft including Fuel Service Vehicle were staged at Grassy Helispot. The weather had been getting hotter and drier and winds increasing. Myself and two other crew members noticed the smell of smoke and just assumed it was coming from the wildfire. My Supt. came around the back corner of the truck and noticed a smoke and soup can sized black spot smoking in a dried up cow manure that was being ignited by the reflection of sun off the chrome on the fuel truck. We immediately extinguished it with water and stirred it up until it was cold to the touch.
Immediate Action Taken
Reporting Individual : please describe actions you took to correct or mitigate the unsafe/unhealthful event.
