BDC utilized another repeater to communicate with IC/crew (Eaglehead West). However, IC unable to establish communication with Alternate Repeater and required a radio relay near ridgetop. Cell phone communication was also needed to accomplish correct reporting to Dispatch. As stated before, Fire was located within 1/2 mile of repeater in Clear line of Site. Communication issues with Repeater!
