Describe in detail what happened including the concern or potential issue, the environment (weather, terrain, fire behavior, etc), and the resulting health issue.

Crew member from EXXX was thinning on a thinning unit when he had a medical with a cut to the foot. Due to radio issues unable to contact William's dispatch or the District Office to inform anyone of the medical.

Immediate Action Taken

Reporting Individual : please describe actions you took to correct or mitigate the unsafe/unhealthful event.

One of my Battalion Chiefs was on scene, and they decided to just transport and once in phone service was able to call it in. But that was about an hour after incident started.
