Narrative
Describe in detail what happened including the concern or potential issue, the environment (weather, terrain, fire behavior, etc), and the resulting health issue.
For the second time within a week, Alabama Dispatch is experiencing network issues which have hampered communications with the field. These issues are becoming more and more frequent, leading to serious safety concerns for field going personnel in remote areas.
Immediate Action Taken
Reporting Individual : please describe actions you took to correct or mitigate the unsafe/unhealthful event.
Dispatch was able to staff at a district office to help assist with mitigating non-communication with dispatch. However, this district is 1.5 hours away from the on-site location of Alabama Dispatch and is not a realistic patch for the problem. Reached out to radio tech in order to help assist with troubleshooting. Still working to resolve the issue.
