The BLM Utah State Office and Canyon Country District are actively working with our Interagency partners (State of Utah and Manti La Sal National Forest) to resolve maintenance issues with the back up generator for the Moab Interagency Dispatch Center. The current back up generator at the Dispatch Center is owned by the State of Utah and has become no longer serviceable. The Manti La Sal National Forest has a suitable generator that will be serviced and replace the State of Utah's non-serviceable generator. If the Manti La Sal generator is deemed non-serviceable, the State of Utah will look at either leasing or purchasing a new generator to meet the Center's need. Long term plan is that the BLM will be placing a permanent back up generator that will service the Moab Dispatch Center and the new BLM Fire Operations Build at the Ken's Lake Facility, anticipated completion of project is 6-8 months.
