| The vehicle operator made the correct decision to obtain washer fluid to clean windows. In the event that supplies are not available, as stated in both the Safety Code Handbook under section 12.33-‘Before Driving’, and the ‘Drivers Handbook’ Ch1 Pg. 13.15 -It is the operators responsibility to check windshield, wipers, and wiper fluid prior to moving vehicle and that wipers are operational, blades in good condition, and proper washer fluid is present. If this was an FS agency vehicle, the WEX fuel card assigned to vehicle can be used to purchase windshield cleaning fluid for safe operation. |
