Radio techs have been working with personnel to troubleshoot recent radio issues. Land Mobile Radio utilizes the FS data network to pass radio audio from the field back to dispatch. This past week or so the forest has experienced major network outages and have replaced network equipment. Those working on the problem have identified configuration issues in the new routers that are responsible for the recent radio degradation issues.
This is the beginning stages of identifying what exactly has happened and what is being done to correct the problem. Hopeful to get an official report cleared though LMR leadership soon. |
