While we might not agree with current Interagency Standards for Fire and Fire Aviation Operations standards or Forest Service Policy; the boots in question meet the standards and policy as written.
It need to also be recognized that there are tradeoffs to be made between comfort, reduced fatigue and related safety issues and greater level of protection from burns that are possibly provided by Logger style boots. |
