  • Monthly System Maintenance is scheduled on Saturday, November 16. This months maintenance will include Oracle database patching for all NIFCENET Prod/UAT databases.
    It will begin at 7am (MST) and last approximately four hours. During this time frame, there will be a disruption in service and applications will be unavailable. Narrative
Describe in detail what happened including the concern or potential issue, the environment (weather, terrain, fire behavior, etc), and the resulting health issue.
Hot water burns resulting from burst suction hose on Mark III fire pump, sprayed hot water onto the inside of lower leg of the pump operator. Pump operator sustained 6 % partial thickness burns. An RLS is being initiated for this incident.
Immediate Action Taken
Reporting Individual : please describe actions you took to correct or mitigate the unsafe/unhealthful event.
The pump was shut down and removed from service, it's appliances that were involved are being secured for inspection and the RLS.
